2/5/2026 The Third “Canal Series” Match Report.
The third match in the five match series was held on the BAA stretch of the Bham / Worc Canal at Stoke Works, parking in the Sports Club, ten turned out.
Result
Frank Bagley 4-1-0.
Brian Burton 3-2-0.
Roger Middleton 2-8-0
Match Summary;-
A reasonable canal match but for many it was long periods without a bite. The winner fished the worm all day & weighed 3 fish for 4-1-0 including a 4-0-0 Bream. Brian had 3-2-0 & Roger 2-8-0. To find our Canal Champ we finish the series using the Winter League Canal Matches so the next match in the Canal series is in October.
A special mention for Dave who had just got back from holiday & weighed in the match, thanks Dave.
