20/12/2025 The Final “Winter League” Match Report.

With the river up & difficult vehicle access at Fladbury we switched to the Railway Inn stretch of the Droitwich Canal parking at the Leisure Centre. Nine turned out on the last Saturday before Christmas. We fished 4 hours 10am until 2.00pm.

Dave Underhill 3-15-0.

Andy Lacey 2-15-0.

Roger Middleton 2-4-0.

Match Summary;-  

A superb turnout for a late December day, we certainly have a hardy bunch of Canal Anglers.

It started very cold with a mucky looking Canal, although cold we did get some sunshine & it stayed dry.

Weights were again patchy with certain known pegs producing. The winner was on peg 1, second & third came from down the bottom of the stretch, many struggled for bites.

Thanks to the Railway Club for allowing the match at short notice & only accepting £10 of the collected peg fees so the remainder went into fourth prize. Thanks to Dave for pegging out & weighing in, cheers.

Roger won the Series on 9 points with Dave on 11 & Keith on 12 points, well done guys.
