30/11/2024 Second Scramble on Pools – Lower Park Fishery on “Lowland Pool”.
We re-arranged this match from the previous Saturday due to Storm BERT, due to cold temperatures, gale force wind and constant rain expected throughout the day.
We found that “Lowland Pool” had several overgrown pegs & with 11 out we couldn’t go for one bank. We put 5 on one bank & six on the other which left peg 19 on its own and several fishing shoulder to shoulder.
Match Report
Three caught Carp on pegs grouped together down the far left bank. Glen caught 21-3-0 of Carp on maggots, Roger weighed 14-8-0 with quality silvers caught shallow, Stephen weighed 14-0-0 of Carp on Expanders. Most caught sprats with no Carp caught towards the access road end of the pool. Although the pegging was unavoidably poor the guys had a good breakfast & it didn’t rain although we did have a strong cold wind & lots of mud. Thanks to Tony Devenney for weighing in.

Next match is the fourth Winter League match 7/12/2024 at Fladbury but with the river again in the fields we may have to transfer.
