19/4/2025 The Second “Canal Series” Match at BAA B/W Stoke Works.
Nine turned out meeting in the Social Club car park. On pegging we found eight boats moored so decided to go to the other end of the stretch parking on the grassy triangle. H. & Gary went on & pegged out. When we all got there we remembered why we had stopped using that access point.
The slope getting down to the canal is a killer & getting back up after the match required a team effort.
Match Report
Dave Earp found the big Bream weighing 9-15-0 best around 5-6lb. Dave caught on the bread punch saying he lost two big bream that his elastic couldn’t handle. Peter Whitt was second with 5-7-0 catching two good bream in the first half an hour. Glen Beavon was third with 3-5-0.
Summary;- A good match but the breeze made things difficult.
