28/2/2021 – Update for Associate Members

Post flood condition of the pegs;- As we approach the last two weeks of the season we want to make all Associate members aware of the poor state of the pegs. Due to Covid restrictions we have been unable to travel and now the river has gone down the pegs are left in very poor condition. We expect to be able to travel after the 12th April that’s after the end of season, so if you plan to visit please be careful.

We have roped off peg 13 which has an undermined platform, to fish any of the other pegs you will need a shovel to remove the silt from the steps. You have been warned.

We are planning a work party for the end of April, if any of you want to help please call the Secretary on 07989566219.

Renewing your Membership;- Next seasons Associate card runs from June 2021 to March 2022. The fee remains at £20 as it’s been for many seasons. You can renew anytime by calling the Secretary on 07989566219. There are two payment options either (1)by cheque or (2)by Bank Transfer, call the Secretary for details.

Availability;- As you are aware we are a match oriented club holding matches on Saturday’s and letting the match pegs (1-26) out to other clubs. Please check out the website calendar for availability before travelling. Pegs 27 to 35 are always available for Associates. See you on the bank.

25/9/2018 – Membership cards now Seasonal

With the influx of Associate members we have realised for the first time that almost all of you joined in June or July. This means under current rules your card duration is 5 to 6 months, apologies, we have decided to change.

All current Associate members have already been supplied replacement cards that expire in March 2019. We believe this is fair and hopefully will encourage you to re-join in 2019.

In 2019 all members whether re-joining, new or joining late in the season will be supplied cards that run from June 2019 to March 2020.

Remember, we want you to re-join, if you have any queries call the Secretary.

20/8/2018 Welcome

This year we have welcomed thirteen Associate Members you are all very welcome. Most of you saw the signs from the other bank, some found the website. Most said they were impressed with the pegs when they joined. This season we have had no incidents of litter etc., so thank you for that.

We do not have any reports from Associates, has anyone had a big Barbel, Chub or Pike? We are very keen to hear about your catches, take some photos and give the Secretary a call.

You could upgrade for £5 and fish the matches, give one a go, they are all on Saturday’s and it’s only £6 on the day. The Full Members are a friendly bunch and most stay when they get to know us. Check out the Venue List under Members/ Full/ Venue List for the next Fladbury match or Match Results under Members/ Full/ Match Results to see which pegs are producing.

Give the Secretary a call, that’s Frank, on 0121 688 0964 or 07989 566219 anytime.

2017

2/9/2017 - Come on Associates!

Have you been down Fladbury lately, what did you think of the pegs? that's the result of months of graft. We want you to get down there and tell us how you got on, good and bad.  We want news of catches or blanks, bad luck, disasters, you have a section on the website so populate.

7/8/2017 - The intro. of the "Assoc. Member's Latest News" Page

So today we have started the section of the website for Associate Members and we have added a "Latest News" page for your use. With your help we want to build up this section so that you feel part of the Society. We want to hear about your catches, good days and bad days. Simply call, text or email the Secretary.

7/8/2017 - The Societies view concerning Associate membership

Taking out an Associate card means that you can fish Fladbury anytime when there are no matches. We are a match orientated Society and a lot of the Full Members have been with us for years but it really comes down to whether you stay in the Society and whether you want to get involved. We want responsible anglers to stay whether Full or Associate. The main difference with Associate membership is that there isn't the same familiarity that we have with long term match fishing members so say hello on the bank when you meet a fellow angler. Please have a look at the Associate member rules, being a responsible member means that we will welcome you back.

7/8/2017 - The Societies view concerning responsibilities of Associate Membership

The Society expects you to adhere to the "Associate Rules"

The Society expects you to be courteous to the local residents.

The Society expects you carry your card when fishing Fladbury and to ask other anglers to produce their cards.

The Society expects all members to maintain Fladbury fishery, see the "Maintenance Page", this is a great time to get to know the rest of the membership, it's about getting involved. You can see that in 2017 we started to transform Fladbury with robust steps and platforms. We met our objective in 2017 but only half of the pegs have robust steps, next season will be busy again. Members of all ages help, just do what you can. Bank Clearing dates are on the Societies Venue List, held in June and again in August. Simply call, text or email the Secretary.

7/8/2017 - Associates; "getting the best out of the website"
